We can help.
Each year, we provide thousands of dollars in assistance to individuals to have pets spayed/neutered.
The Monroe County Humane Association Spay-Neuter Assistance Program vouchers are for clients who can provide proof of participation in a government financial assistance program. Vouchers are valued at $20 towards a cat spay/neuter surgery and $40 towards a dog spay/neuter surgery. Any additional services or costs related to the procedure are the responsibility of the pet owner.
The Monroe County Humane Association can only issue vouchers to clients who live in Monroe County.
If you do not live in Monroe County, you can apply for a spay/neuter assistance voucher through Pet Friendly Services of Indiana here.
To apply for a voucher at the Monroe County Humane Association, an appointment must be made to ensure that the pet is healthy enough for surgery and that vaccinations are up-to-date. Please call 812-333-6242 ext. 1 to make an appointment. Additional appointment or service fees will apply.
Vouchers are limited to three per household and have an expiration date of three months from the date they are issued. Vouchers issued by the Monroe County Humane Association can only be re-issued on-site at our Nonprofit Veterinary Clinic.
Spay/neuter vouchers can be redeemed at PetsAlive. Vouchers must be used directly with a participating veterinary clinic and are not redeemable for cash or services other than a spay/neuter surgery.
