Run for the Animals & Barktoberfest

The Run for the Animals is a timed, mag7 5K run/walk, with all of the proceeds benefiting the programs and services of MCHA.

Barktoberfest, happening both during and after the race events, includes vendors, an off-leash dog play area, and tons of other fun activities for both families and furry friends! Grab something from our wishlist and bring it to Barktoberfest!

This event is so important to the Monroe County Humane Association and our ability to provide so many programs and services that would otherwise not exist in our community.  MCHA works toward a more humane future for Monroe County pets by combating animal cruelty, offering humane education, coordinating a pet therapy program, offering a low-cost mobile vaccine clinic, minor medical veterinary clinic, and funding assistance for spay/neuter or emergency medical needs—many lives, human and animal alike, are touched by the work of the MCHA.  All this and more is only possible because of the generous support of our community. MCHA is a 501c3 non-profit that receives no funding from national organizations or tax dollars.

In 2017, we welcomed over 200 runners and walkers and 100 furry friends to the event!

Don’t miss one of the greatest opportunities to support local animal welfare in our community.
