Pet Food and Supply Pantry Application

Monroe County Humane Association's Pet Food and Supply Pantry is available at the
Nonprofit Veterinary Clinic & Outreach Center at 4635 W Richland Plaza Dr., Bloomington, IN 47404

 

The Pet Food and Supply Pantry program is intended to assist you through temporary financial difficulties. 

It is not intended to be your primary source of pet food or supplies. 

 

When you visit, each recipient:

  • May receive no more than 2 bags or 1 container (size limited) per visit

  • May visit 1 time per month

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • This program serves Monroe County residents ONLY. You must provide proof of address.

  • To be eligible to receive pet food, all pets in the household must be current on rabies vaccination.
    You must provide proof of vaccination.

  • To be eligible to receive pet food, all pets in the household must be spayed and/or neutered.
    You must provide proof of spay/neuter.

 

 

On your first trip and when you come to enroll in the Food Pantry Program, please bring with you:

  • Proof of address

  • Proof of current rabies vaccines

  • Proof of spay/neuter

  • Proof of participation in a subsidy program

 

IF YOUR ANIMALS DO NOT HAVE A CURRENT VACCINE AND/OR ARE NOT SPAYED OR NEUTERED, YOU WILL BE GIVEN 60 DAYS TO COMPLY.  MCHA MAY BE ABLE TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO HELP SATIFISY THESE REQUIREMENTS.

RETAIL & PANTRY HOURS:
Sunday: 1:00pm-4:00pm


Monday: 10:00am-3:00pm


Tuesday through Thursday: 12:00pm-6:00pm

Applications will be reviewed once a year to confirm continued participation in the program

 

Change of address should be brought to MCHA’s attention right away

 

Only one application will be accepted per address

 

Since the food we provide is based on donations, we cannot guarantee the brand or amount of food that will be given each time.  Brands may vary from visit to visit, therefore your pet(s) may experience stomach upset due to the change in food.

 

Amount of food given may vary from visit to visit depending on available supply

 

Food received from the MCHA pet food pantry cannot be resold. Doing so will result in immediate termination from the program

 

If there is a pet related item you need, please ask!  Pet related items such as toys, treats, cat litter, bedding, crates, clothing, etc are donated and are not available all the time.  These items will be distributed on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis. 

 

The name on the application should be the person picking up the food – ID will be checked EACH VISIT.
