Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially fatal disease. It is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs and associated blood vessels of affected pets, causing severe lung disease, heart failure and damage to other organs in the body.

  • A licensed veterinarian will administer the injection and exam

  • Total cost will include a heartworm test and a blood draw

  • Appointments are required

  • Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier

  • Bring proof of your participation in a government funded assistance program for subsidized costs


If your dog tests positive for heartworms:

  • If your dog tests positive for Heartworms, we will not offer a Proheart 6 Injection.

  • We will offer an optional blood draw and exam for $5.00 to check for microfilaria or baby heartworms in your dogs bloodstream.

  • We will recommend fully treating your pet for heartworms through a full-service veterinarian.
