Run for the Animals & Barktoberfest

Vendor Information
Run for the Animals & Barktoberfest will take place on Sunday, October 6th, 2024

HOURS: Vendors may arrive as early as 6:00 a.m. and should be set-up by the time registration opens at 8:00 a.m. We’ll have designated parking for you after unloading. As a safety consideration, we ask that you stay until the event closes at 1:00 p.m. This helps ensure vehicles are not passing through areas where attendees and their animals are congregated during the event.

We will email a more detailed map to you the week before the event, and we’ll have volunteers on site to direct you where to go when you arrive.

WHAT TO BRING: We offer a designated 10’X10′ space for each vendor unless exceptions are requested two weeks in advance. You will need to provide your own table, chairs, tents, signage, etc. If you are bringing swag and giveaways, please know we are expecting 300+ attendees this year.

If you are bringing live ambassador animals, please notify us one week in advance so we can factor that into planning your placement.
There are no outlets in the Barktoberfest area, but there are restrooms at the Commons Building near the vendor area.

We require a Certificate of Insurance from all vendors naming MCHA as the additional insured. Please send a copy to mcha@monroehumane.org no later than 5 days in advance of the event.

HELPFUL INFORMATION:

We will promote you as a vendor in the weeks leading up to the event. Feel free to mention @monroehumane in any social media about the event to reach our followers!

New this year, we have created the Barktoberfest Paw Passport program, designed to draw attendees and their families into the vendor area to visit each table. This is completely voluntary, but we hope you’ll participate! We provide the materials for that on the morning of the event.

For our non-profit friends, you are welcome to share informational materials and swag, collect contact info, etc., but we ask that you please don’t solicit donations while at our event.

Lastly, if you wish to hold any demonstrations or brief talks at your table between 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., we’ll be happy to add it to the program and announcements. Email ktaylor@monroehumane.org by Friday, October 4 to be included.
