MCHA intern positions are a fantastic way for you to gain experience and knowledge in the field of animal welfare. MCHA interns are held to a high performance expectation and must be able to uphold the values and mission of the MCHA. Interested candidates must submit resume and cover letter detailing interest in the position and what you think you could bring to the job and the MCHA. Positions are available immediately for summer 2008 and will remain open until filled.

Special Events/Fundraising Intern
The MCHA is currently seeking a hard working, reliable, professional intern to work directly with our CEO focusing on special event fundraising and planning. This is a great resume building position for someone eager to get the job done professionally, efficiently and help advance the mission of the MCHA.
Intern will be responsible for duties related to the Walk for the Animals and the MCHA 2009 spring benefit and auction "Hollywoof". Minimum 15 hours a week. Intern can make arrangements for course credit. Senior undergraduates and graduate level students with fundraising background preferred. Good verbal and written skills a must. Intern does not have to currently be a student.
Legislative/State Federation Intern
The MCHA is seeking an intern working to assist our CEO with tasks related to legislative initiatives on the state and local levels including clerical tasks, list management, grassroots marketing efforts, some event planning and other miscellaneous tasks. Intern will also work on initiatives related to the Indiana Alliance of Animal Control and Welfare Organizations. Good verbal and written skills a must. Great position for a variety of majors and backgrounds. Candidates must have drive to improve the lives of animals and be able to commit a minimum of 10 hours a week. Intern can make arrangements for course credit.
