MCHA GENERAL FUND
|
By being an advocate for animals in Monroe County since
1956, the Monroe County Humane Association has a long
history in our community. Help us stop animal abuse,
advocate for better laws, educate the public about the
humane treatment of all animals, control the pet-
overpopulation and more!
Our efforts over the past 50 years
are just part of what is to come in the future. Help us be
progressive, responsive, and proactive in our fight for the
animals.
Please give generously to the MCHA and ensure that
we are able to provide another 50 years of service to our
community.

OLIVIA FUND
|
Animal abuse is a national epidemic and our community is not
immune. Animals that are mistreated and neglected are among
the most vulnerable members of our society. It is up to
compassionate strangers to help them out of their plight.
You can be one of those compassionate strangers.
The MCHA is
dedicated to helping the abused animals of our community.
Through our Olivia Fund we provide funds to offset medical
costs for abused and neglected animals. Your donation can
ensure that this support will continue well into the future.
The Olivia Fund, named in honor of a brave kitty who was the
victim of extreme cruelty, is a way to make our community
safer and more responsive to the needs of these vulnerable
animals. Read her story here.

SHELTER FUND
|
The MCHA is the official fundraiser for the City of
Bloomington Animal Shelter. While the shelter is run by the
City of Bloomington and funded from tax dollars, it just
isn't enough. The Shelter Fund helps off-set the costs of
unexpected expenses, provide medical care for animals that
may not otherwise receive treatment, help pay for
improvements, provide funds for food, medicine, or other
items that improve the quality of the City of Bloomington
Animal Shelter.
Help those animals that are less fortunate and help
the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter by giving to the
Shelter Fund. Many tail wags and sloppy kisses will be
returned!

SPAY/NEUTER INITIATIVE
|
Overpopulation. Plain and simple. Monroe County suffers from
too many animals indiscriminately breeding leaving the City
of Bloomington Animal Shelter bursting at the seams.
One
of the MCHA's top priorities is to stop the flow of animals
into the shelter. The only way to do that is through
targeted, aggressive spay/neuter programs. The Spay/Neuter
Initiative funds our many spay neuter programs and services
including Spay Day USA, SNAP (Spay/Neuter Assistance
Program), and other targeted services.
These programs and programs under development will make a
lasting, long-term impact on the animals of our community
and our region as a whole. Help us make the dream a reality!
